Michael
O'Keeffe grew up loving storms. In his short 15 year old life he
has been fascinated with severe storms and tornadoes. It was not
until he was 12 when his dad offered him the opportunity to learn
how to chase tornadoes. Neither Michael nor his dad, John had any
idea that they would be traveling thousands of miles each year
across Tornado Alley. Some notable intercepts include the
incredible Greensburg, KS tornadic supercell, the beautiful
September 16, 2006 tornadoes, and the awesome tornadic storm near
Nickerson, KS on April 24, 2007. In his short chasing career he
has seen and videoed 36 tornadoes, including an incredible 27
tornadoes just in the challenging 2007 season alone. He hopes his
passion for weather leads him to the University of Oklahoma where
he hopes to get a degree in meteorology. Recently he has started a
stock company that can be viewed at his website (www.supercellcrazy.com).
Also he has released a highlight DVD of his record-breaking season
also available at his website. After contributing to last years
Storms of 06, he was very happy to provide more video this year.
